Gracias a una iniciativa de OpenAire, por fin se está midiendo el uso de los repositorios siguiendo unos controles de calidad que van a permitir dar unos datos comparables y puedan ser tenidos en cuenta a la hora de evaluar la producción científica en acceso abierto.
El repositorio institucional de la UC3M, e-Archivo, ya está participando en este servicio.
Además, la Biblioteca de la UC3M está liderando un grupo de trabajo de REBIUN cuyo objetivo es aplicar a nivel nacional estos mismos criterios de OpenAire. ¡Anima a que tu repositorio se incorpore!

The OpenAIRE Usage Statistics service contributes towards the assessment of usage activity in Open Access Repositories. This is realized by the generation of comparable, consistent, standards based usage statistics across publishing platforms that take into account different levels of scholarly information: the usage of data sources, the usage of individual items in the context of their resource type, the usage of individual web resources or files and the usage of resources among different repositories.
OpenAIRE’s Usage Statistics service uses the Matomo Open Source Analytics platform to track usage activity. It collects and analyzes usage data from the network of OpenAIRE data providers and exploits usage metrics like downloads and metadata views.»
