Horizon 2020 Monitoring Report 2014

European CommissionThe European Commission has published the Horizon 2020 Monitoring Report 2014.

This report is solely based on closed calls from the 2014 call year and provides data on implementation issues, participation trends, and cross-cutting performance. It also contains a section on projects funded under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).

For instance, the report contains data on submission numbers, success rates, funding rates, and the average time to grant. In addition, some data are presented for the individual parts of Horizon 2020 and participating countries (EU member states and associated countries), respectively. The findings are compared to Key Performance Indicators related to underlying EU research and innovation policies.

The European Commission is legally obliged to monitor and measure the performance of Horizon 2020. The Monitoring Report 2014 is the first in a series of annual reports which will eventually feed into the Interim and Ex-post evaluations of Horizon 2020.
